Isla Vista is a college town perched on a 1.5 mi stretch of the coastal bluff just west of the UCSB campus in Goleta, CA. The Isla Vista Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation is a unique chapter because it consists almost entirely of college-aged members. The chapter creates both a social network as well as a volunteer and activism program in which young people can take personal responsibility for the environment they inhabit and make a difference in their local community.
We might not all surf, but all of us love the ocean and are dedicated to protecting and enhancing our local coastline.
The IV Surfrider chapter meets on select nights on campus. Subscribe to our newsletter for specific times and locations, or follow us on Facebook and Instagram. We meet to plan and discuss upcoming events, hang out with friends, and eat free pizza.
